Elaine Burrows
It is with sadness that we report the death of our dear friend, Elaine Burrows, who died in February 2025. Elaine was a faithful member of the society for many years and served as secretary for three years. Her knowledge of Wagnerian singers of the past was phenomenal and she will be much missed.
The memorial/celebration of life event for Elaine will be at the Halle St Peters on the 12th of April at 11 am, the room is within that building and it is called the Victoria Wood Memorial Hall.
Address is 40 Blossom St, Ancoats, Manchester M4 6BF, parking is an issue in the area and can advise on this, so can people allow plenty of time to park and arrive on time
Can you please ask people to commit to attending so I can get an indication of the numbers who will be there
The dress code is bright colours no black
Also if people want to stay for lunch afterwards, they can visit Cafe Cotton inside the building, if I know how many I can reserve tables.
Sadly my budget does not allow me to provide lunch but the menu is not expensive
