The Death of Richard Wagner

Wagner Society Manchester Talk on February 13th at 19.00 via Zoom

February 13th 2023 is the 140th anniversary of Wagner’s death, in 1883, when he took his last breath at Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, a 16th-century palazzo on the Grand Canal in Venice. In honour of that day, Susan Vincent will be talking to us about the last month of Wagner’s life and the events leading up to his death. Susan Vincent is a member of the Wagner Society Manchester. Her interest in Richard Wagner was inspired by seeing Parsifal for the first time at the English National Opera , an interest consolidated by a visit to Bayreuth in August 2019
